Alan Kaplan

Alan M. Kaplan represents management in employment counseling and litigation, drafting and negotiating executive employment and non-compete agreements and anti-union/pro-company matters. He has extensive experience in defending companies in employment discrimination and wrongful discharge cases in both federal and state courts. He also manages anti-union election campaigns and de-certifications, represents construction industry clients to prevent and stop illegal picketing, and defends unionized clients during union trust fund audits, union grievances and arbitration hearings. Counseling focuses on hiring, wage and hour, discipline, termination, disability matters and occupational safety and health. His clients include businesses in the manufacturing, automotive, construction and professional service industries. Mr. Kaplan is Chair of the Firm’s Employment, Labor and Benefits Practice Group, was selected as an Illinois Super Lawyer in 2006 and 2011, and holds an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell.
