MidwestHR COVID-19 Preparedness

As a critical partner to your business, we understand the importance of our ability to continue to support our clients amidst this global health event.

The health and well-being of our team members, clients, and their employees is of utmost importance to us. We have been monitoring COVID-19 developments closely through local authorities, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the World Health Organization and the Illinois Department of Public Health. As the situation continues to evolve, we are keenly focused on our preparedness efforts to maintain a safe work environment for our team members and to sustain our business operations.

We have an Emergency Preparedness Plan in place that is managed by a dedicated team of experts who are committed to keeping our operations running smoothly so that we can provide you with the best possible service.

What is MidwestHR doing in response to COVID-19?

  • MidwestHR is aware of, and closely monitoring, the evolving Coronavirus situation through local authorities, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Illinois Department of Public Health in order to maintain a safe work environment in our facilities and to sustain our business operations.
  • We have activated our Emergency Preparedness Plan, which includes:
    • Enabling work from home capabilities
      • Activated our Personally Identifiable Information (PII) Protection Plan
      • Enabled two-level authentication on all systems accessed
    • Deploying the following plans and promotions to coordinate delivery of services and support to our clients:
      • Promote direct deposit or pay card payment of all payroll
      • Cease printing of non-live paycheck stubs and reports to eliminate delivery of non-essential items
      • Promote the use of both the Manager Portal and Employee Portal for viewing payroll information (paychecks and reports)
    • Providing our team members, clients and worksite employees with information and best practices to prevent the spread of any illness
    • Limiting all non-essential business travel

What is included in the Emergency Preparedness Plan?

  • MidwestHR has a comprehensive Emergency Preparedness Plan that has been tested to withstand various types of threat scenarios, including pandemic planning. Our ability to be prepared for health and safety issues is based upon:
    • Established infectious disease guidelines and protocols
    • A conversant communication strategy
    • Team member awareness and education
    • Provisioning and distribution of supplies
    • Human Resources policies specific to pandemic/health crisis planning
    • Facility preparedness and cleaning standards
    • Social distancing protocols
    • Travel monitoring, guidelines and advisories
    • Team member wellness programs coordinated through MidwestHR medical coverage programs
    • Infection control, response, and deployment programs

How will MidwestHR support clients during the COVID-19 outbreak?

  • Limiting any impact this health event could have on our service to clients is imperative. We have an Emergency Preparedness Plan that accounts for the essential functions and services performed for our clients and worksite employees
  • We will continue to monitor this fluid situation and will shift workloads, as necessary, to ensure essential services remain operable
